Answer: Current light sport aircraft have two main advantages - operation under LSA rules, and often lower prices than non-LSA's of similar age. With MOSAIC, the number of aircraft currently on the market that can be flown under LSA regulations will increase, however, many of the aircraft that will be added to this category are considered older aircraft. The advantage of buying a newer LSA and spending less than you would on a normal part 23 aircraft will still likely attract many potential aircraft buyers, so we are expecting the impact of MOSAIC to have a somewhat muted effect on the used LSA market.
