Your aircraft loan is only a few steps away

STEP 1: Complete the Application

After you speak with one of our regional account executives they will send you an email with a link to our online application. If you haven't already spoken to someone on our team but would like an application, please fill out the form to the right or call 1.800.627.5263.

We want to provide you with the fastest possible turnaround for your financing. In order to do this, we strongly recommend that you submit all of the supporting financial documents with the online application.

What documents do I need?

Self-Employed Applicants - Co-Applicants
  1. Completed online application and personal financial statement.
  2. Last 2 years signed personal tax returns to include all schedules and any K-1s
  3. Last 2 years signed business tax returns to include all schedules and any K-1s
  4. YTD Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
  5. Copy of state issued photo ID
  6. Bank Statements (dated within the last 30 days)
Non Self-Employed Applicants - Co-Applicants
  1. Completed online application and personal financial statement
  2. Current pay stub
  3. Last 2 year's W-2 and/or 1099’s
  4. Last 2 year's signed personal tax returns to include all schedules and any K-1s
  5. Copy of state issued photo ID
  6. Bank Statements (dated within the last 30 days)

STEP 2: Submit your application

After submitting your online application, you will receive an email with a link to check your loan application status.
If you have already submitted your online application, click here to check the status of your aircraft loan.

Check Status

Once you have completed the application you will be prompted to upload the supporting documentation. As stated previously, the more documents we receive upfront, the faster we can get the loan approved.

If for some reason you do not have all of the documentation available at the time of submission, you will be able to log into our Loan Status Portal to upload them at a later time.

Please be on the lookout for an email from us giving you access to the portal.

If you are applying with a partner, they will also receive access to the portal once they have completed their application.

STEP 3: What happens next (The Underwriting Process)

  • Once we receive your application you will be sent an email giving you access to our Loan Status Portal. Please log into the portal to review loan status, as well as upload additional documents.
  • After our initial review, we may contact you with questions that arise and to request any missing items. 
  • At completion of the underwriting, the lender will issue a formal Approval Letter with the rates/terms and any additional conditions prior to closing.

5 – 7 Business Days for loans above $2Million

Learn more about what happens after approval

  1. Your account executive will contact you via phone and/or e-mail to communicate the Lender’s approval decision.
  2. Once approved, you will be sent a Pre-Closing Checklist to be completed.

    Samples of the required documents listed in the Pre-Closing Checklist:
    • Purchase Agreement
    • Bill of Sale
    • If registering the aircraft in a Business Name or LLC Name, Articles of Incorporation or other appropriate organizational documents will be required.
  3. When the purchase agreement, appropriate organizational documents and Bill of Sale have been received, a title search on the aircraft will be ordered.
  4. Once a clear title search has been verified and received, the loan documents will be created and sent to you.
  5. You will sign and notarize the loan documents and send them back via the pre-paid envelope. You need to provide proof of insurance information that meet lender requirements (Lender requirements will be provided.)
  6. You/the seller will need to provide wiring instructions.
  7. As soon as the AAF loan administrator has received all of the above documents and the documents are executed properly, the loan package will be sent to Funding/Escrow.
