Question: I’m not sure where to start. I have a private pilot license, SEL, and want to buy a Gyroplane. My wife and I have been to some fly-ins, Bensen days, and the PRA event in Mentone, Indiana. I have taken a couple of intro flights, and my wife has taken a ride. We love the people and the atmosphere of the Gyro community. We’ve made new friends and are looking forward to being a part of it. I know I have to do a transition course for my Gyroplane sign-off, and I would like to do it in my own Gyro. Answer: Unfortunately, the lenders in our syndicate do not offer financing for Gyroplanes. In general, finance options for rotorcraft are somewhat limited, and we are unaware of any traditional aircraft lender offering financing for an experimental rotorcraft.
