- What percentage of your clients use financing? In your experience, what do your buyers say is the most important when choosing a financial partner?
At least 80%. In terms of choosing a financial partner, I think it’s probably ease of services. The whole process can be pretty daunting. So, the ability to call someone and enjoy a one-on-one, white glove experience is key, and we love to help facilitate that through our affiliations, whatever they may need.
- Buyers are telling us the used inventory is tight. Can you confirm this? And if so, what advice would you give potential buyers?
I do think that, depending on the make and model that you’re looking for, it can be pretty tight. That being said, it’s definitely becoming a buyer’s market. That’s why being able to work with a group that has regional connections across the nation is a good way to make sure that you’re not missing out on a lot of the deals that are off-market as well. We’re also currently creating easier ways to streamline the process for our clients to find the planes that fit their mission.
- We frequently assist partnerships with financing. How frequently do you see this, and what advice do you have for partners?
I think having expectations clearly set before entering a partnership is important. You’re entering into a very serious legal relationship with someone. You want to know what you’re dealing with. So, having clear and concise communication is vital. Make sure you know the five- and 10-year goals of your partner. Bottom line, make sure that your partner’s finances are in line with yours. Lenders always finance the weakest link. If you’re wanting to go in with a partner, make sure they’re financially on the same page as you.
- Do you have any additional comments?
I want people to have the best experience possible when buying, selling, or managing an airplane, whether that’s with us or not. My team and I are truly passionate about making this process as seamless as possible for every person we interact with whether they’re a client or not. We all have a calling for this.
